Football super star and Manchester United forward, Christiano Ronaldo, has lost his newborn son.
Platforms Africa reports that Ronaldo who said he and his wife, Georgina Rodriguez, were bereaved announced the demise of their son on Monday night in a statement shared on his verified social media handles.
Ronaldo and his wife Georgina had before now annouced that they were expecting twins.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” Ronaldo said. “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.”
Ronaldo further said “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time
I “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you,” the footballer added.
